There are a number of treatment options available for patients with large spaces present between their teeth, these can include composite bonding, porcelain veneers and crowns. Often the preferred and best choice of treatment is orthodontics as it is non-invasive and results can last indefinitely, where as composite bonding, veneers and crowns tend to have a finite life span.
This patient was suffering with a large gap between her upper and lower teeth. She was not keen on dental veneers, crowns or composite bonding. She already had an excellent bite and her spacing was only restricted to the front teeth. We discussed the following treatment options with this patient:
After a discussion with the patient it was decided that 6 Month Smiles was the most favourable treatment to her needs. So we bonded the braces on her teeth and after 9 months all the spaces were closed and the treatment was now complete.
This patient had the primary goal of correcting her smile in time for her wedding – We are pleased to say we completed her treatment with plenty of time before her wedding and we wish her and her new husband all the best in the future.
