When your teeth have been the subject of tooth/teeth decay an inlay and onlay can be used for your treatment. Depending on the severity of your case a filling can be the perfect solution for you, or if the decay has progressed and is quite severe a dental crown may be more appropriate. Inlays and Onlays are treatments that bridge the gap between fillings and dental crowns and will be used if the case is too severe for fillings and not severe enough for a dental crown.
Inlays and Onlays treat:
One of the most common symptoms that can lead to requiring an Inlay/Onlay is tooth ache.
When you attend your free consultation, our highly trained dentist will examine your mouth and identify the current state of your dental health. Our dentist will carefully explain the treatments that are most suitable for you and will answer any questions you may have.
Inlays and Onlays can be made to your natural tooth colour, making the treatment completely discrete!
Both Inlays and Onlays are made to be long lasting; however there are certain factors that can affect their lifespan:
The procedure is relatively simple and the patient will experience minimal discomfort. Our dentist will prepare the tooth/teeth (decay removal).
An impression of the affected teeth will be taken and will then be sent off to the dental laboratory to be custom made.
When the custom made Inlays/Onlays have returned the dentist will attach them to the affected teeth.
We offer free consultations so we can examine your current dental health and then recommend the best course of treatment for you. Please do not hesitate to call us today!
