Advice On Teeth Whitening Best Practices

Generally speaking, during treatment it is best to avoid any acidic type of food or drink and anything that has dark colors in it. It is also recommended to not smoke during and after treatment, as smoking can easily stain your teeth and reverse any good effects from the whitening.

Teeth whitening After Care – Maintaining the best results!

After you have completed your treatment and you are pleased with your newly improved whiter and brighter smile, your lifestyle can severely dictate how long the results last for. During the whitening the foods and drinks above will be more susceptible to staining your teeth because of how the gel works. Once you have completed your course of whitening, they won’t have such a drastic effect but for example, if you do drink a lot of black coffee and red wine it can stain your teeth again.

By maintaining a very healthy dental hygiene routine of brushing at least twice a day and also rinsing your mouth out with water after consuming a food/drink that is known to stain, you will be able to maintain your results for as long as possible.
